Insurance is so confusing… but Scott was AMAZING! He had patience, knowledge, and understanding to my situation and advised me on how to navigate and move forward with my boat claim. I can confidently make the decisions I have to make without being intimidated by my insurance company! You can trust what he says…he doesn't have ulterior motives… Just wants to help you! Too bad, I could only give him 5 stars… I would have given him 10 stars! Scott and Valeria were extremely helpful and professional in providing their knowledge and guidance through this most difficult ordeal. And their help turned out to be free! After paying insurance premiums on my boats over the years, my first attempt at filing a claim was a disaster. In the first 4 weeks after Hurricane Ian, I had several conversations with insurance adjusters, but never the same person twice. Fortunately, by the time I was provided with what appeared to be a permanent adjuster, I had already spoken to Scott and Valeria. In my meeting with this adjuster, I asked for a copy of the insurance company’s estimate, telling him that Scott would be reviewing it and the boat. A written estimate was provided within 2 days of the meeting. It was shared with Scott immediately. After Scott reviewed the boat and the estimate, he called to tell me that I was lucky. I had gotten a fair estimate and did not need to hire him. Responsible, knowledgeable, and honest. WOW! Excellent service, Scott and Valeria work extremely hard to deliver services that are 2nd to none. They went above and beyond with service excellence. I had a 1981 O'Day sailboat that was submerged underwater, and they made sure that I got a just and fair settlement As a licensed Master, I run across a great number of people who “think” they know boats or the maritime industry; Scott is a true gem of knowledge and experience within the field. Very knowledgeable, really helpful. I spoke with him for a consultation and found someone that I will hire and recommend to other professionals in my area Scott has been most helpful and knowledgeable since contacting him shortly after hurricane Ian. He was so helpful that he told us that we did not need to use his services yet advised us on exactly what to do in our circumstances. He continues to follow up and be there whenever I have questions about this crazy process with insurance companies in boats. This has been true for all of his staff! I couldn't recommend his company more highly! I had a brand new 2022 Yamaha 21 Sport Fish jet boat until Hurricane Ian blew through Ft. Myers and took the boat from the lift and wedged it in between my house and a tree. The insurance company sent a newbie adjuster out and gave me an offer of $1,850 for scratches, gel coat and fiberglass repair. No mention of the batteries and engines being submerged in salt water. Really bad, level 3 water. I couldn't get anywhere with the insurance company so I searched for boat adjusters and came across Public Yacht Adjusters. I certainly didn't have a yacht but it was a brand new boat with about 30 hours on it and I wasn't ready to accept $1,850. Scott drove from Miami to Ft Myers to personally inspect the boat. There are things that he found that I would never have known. Scott is a professional. He knows boats, what to look for and how to negotiate with insurance companies. The damage that showed up in his report was substantial and I would have had no way of knowing without his expertise. Scott and his team at Public Yacht Adjusters did a thorough report, kept me up to date on progress and helped me get my claim settled fairly. I would highly recommend Public Yacht Adjusters. Experts in their field, highly professional and they get results.
